* Reading - We read nonfiction books and practiced using text features -- charts, captions, glossaries -- to help us learn.
* Writing - We wrote persuasive letters.

* Science - We continued learning about matter this week. Next week, we will do a couple of mini-lessons on patriotic symbols and dental health.
* Math - We started our fractions unit. We learned about equal parts of a whole and how to identify fractions. We will practice comparing fractions next week.
