Welcome!
My name is KaiLea (kay-lee) Stiffler and I am so excited to be working with your second grader this year! It will be my ninth year of teaching; I have spent all eight years of my teaching career at Pinebrook (and in second grade). Go Pumas!My goals as a teacher include helping your child not only foster a love of school, but also build strong connections with their peers. I believe that having positive social skills and interactions helps to create a classroom community where everyone is comfortable making mistakes as we learn together. I hope that we (you, me, your child, and your family) will find ways to still meet this goal together!
I grew up in Middletown, Maryland. In 2017, I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in history. It was fun being so close to Ocean City, Maryland while not being too far away from home.
I enjoy reading, taking walks, and continuing to learn new things. I also love hanging out with my husband, Jacob, and our cat, Valkyrie. We recently welcomed our first child, Callum, this past January. It has been wonderful watching him grow and learn.
As always, I look forward to seeing what this coming year brings!
