- During Thanksgiving Break, the kiddos are getting a break from RAZ and Reflex! However, it would be a good idea to spend some time on the applications for practice.
- Native Americans test on Monday, 11/25
- Scholastic online orders due by Monday, 11/25
Week Overview
* Reading - We reviewed ways to grow your reading muscles with tricky words. (Ask, "Does it make sense, does it look right, does it sound right?" Think about what happened in the story.) We will start learning about nonfiction text features in December.
* Writing - We continued writing nonfiction books. We learned that we can get ideas from published nonfiction books, not just facts.

* Social Studies - We learned about the Lakota tribe from the Great Plains. We will learn about Thanksgiving next week. After Thanksgiving break, we will learn about maps and globes.
* Math - We practiced regrouping with addition. We touched regrouping with subtraction and will focus on it when we return in December.
