Friday Reminders 2/7/2020

It was definitely a long week! The kids did pretty well all week. We have had a small problem with talking during work times, but it is not huge. The kids were fantastic listeners and tried their best on their CogAT tests this week! Reminders for Friday, February 7th

• Reflex and RAZ kids due Friday, 2/14
• 30 minutes of Reflex
• 30 minutes of RAZ kids
• Weather test on Tuesday, 2/11
• Time test on Friday, 2/14
• It will be taken before the party.
• Valentine's Day Party on Friday, 2/14, from 11:30 - 12:30pm
• The kids will be eating a pizza lunch in the classroom during our normal lunch time.

Week Overview
* Reading - We practiced our reading skills. Next week, we will learn strategies for reading for longer periods of time and using different tones while reading.
* Writing - We continued to practice writing friendly letters. We will write opinion letters next week.

* Science - We learned about the water cycle - collection, evaporation, condensation, precipitation, repeat. Next week, we will finish the unit and start our Famous Americans unit.

* Math - We started learning about time! We learned to tell time to the hour, half hour, and nearest five minutes. We are working hard to practice our nearest five minutes. We will continue to work on these skills next week.
