Week Overview
* Reading - We continued to focus on problem and solution. We also started talking about figurative language - metaphors, exaggeration, similes, comparison.
* Writing - We started writing fictional stories and focused on writing good endings.

* Social Studies - We learned about Cesar Chavez and Abraham Lincoln this week. Next week, we will review all of the nine famous Americans and do a short unit on Dental Health.
* Math - We practiced measuring more. We learned about how to measure weight (16 ounces equals 1 pound). Next week, we will learn about measuring temperature and start talking about graphing.
