Happy Lunar New Year! It is the year of the Ox.
We had a great week! The kids finished up testing for the winter. They did a great job reviewing previous topics last week and learning about the different types of storms. It's been awesome to see how independent they are growing to be.
Next week, we will be going back to our hybrid schedule. Please be sure to check your email for our schedule and the transportation survey, as well as information from Mr. Thiessen. Reminders for Friday, February 12th
- Please make sure your child has completed the following assignments on Seesaw. All these assignments are GRADED and due by 2/16.
- Estimating Differences Quiz (math)
- Summary Quiz (reading)
- No School on Monday, 2/15 for Presidents' Day
- NO SMALL GROUPS the week of 2/16 - 2/19 to allow the kids to adjust to hybrid routine.
- Small groups will resume the following week, 2/22 - 2/26.
- Emails will be sent out with your child's new days/times.
- Tuesday, 2/16 is our first day back to Hybrid
- Navy is in-person.
- Please remember that arrival is ideally between 7:30-7:50am.

Week Overview
*Morning Meeting - We shared our numbers this week.
*Reading - We used our knowledge of details from last week to practice writing summaries this week.
*Writing - We started using our letter-writing knowledge to write about books we have read.
*Math - We practiced regrouping (addition and subtraction) and learned to estimate differences.
*Science - We reviewed what the kids learned last week about storms and learned about floods and droughts.
