The kids did great with coming back to our normal hybrid schedule! They are asking lots of good questions and are doing well with our routines. It's just another week for the Room 20 kids. 😊
My only real note from this week is to make sure that your child has a well-fitting mask. The kids are pretty good about making sure that their masks are over both their noses and mouths, but some are having trouble with masks that keep falling and exposing their nose. Thank you in advance!

- Scholastic Book Clubs is still active! You can get books shipped to your home instead of school. Our class code is RKQRV. You can view more about Book Clubs HERE.

Week Overview
*Morning Meeting - We learned about self-confidence/self-esteem.
*Reading - We reviewed character traits this week. We will review main idea next week.
*Writing - We continued to write about our favorite books.
*Math - We reviewed the different coins - pennies, dimes, nickels, and quarters. We will start working with the dollar bill and practice counting money collections.
*Social Studies - We started learning about Famous Americans. We learned about Jackie Robinson, Martin Luther King Jr., and Thurgood Marshall. We will also learn about Helen Keller, Rosa Parks, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington Carver, Abraham Lincoln, and Cesar Chavez over the next couple of weeks.
