LCPS will be having hybrid students start on a 4-days a week schedule, beginning the week of Monday, April 19th. We will still have Asynchronous Mondays with morning meeting. For more information, please refer to an email sent from our Interim Superintendent, Dr. Ziegler on Wednesday, 3/18. If you have any questions about placement or the format, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Thiessen (paul.thiessen@lcps.org) or Mrs. Boyd (leigh.boyd@lcps.org).

I will be discussing this with the kids on Monday. Of course, there's going to be changes (as minimal as I can make them) and adjustments to be made. Knowing the kids, they will be alright, but I'm preparing for some growing pains! As always, I just ask for your patience and support as the kids and I navigate our new situation and coming together as a whole class. I also want to remind you to give yourselves plenty of grace and self-care as we go forward as well! Thank you in advance!

Week Overview
*Morning Meeting - We reviewed the 3Rs of Pinebrook (ready, respectful, responsible) for the hallway, cafeteria, recess, and working online.
*Reading - We learned how to make inferences - looking beyond what is actually said by the author to determine what is NOT being said, but is true.
*Writing - We started writing and began publishing our fiction stories.
*Math - We started our time unit. We learned how to read a clock and tell time to the hour, half hour, and nearest five minutes. We will continue this unit next week.
*Science - We learned about the three states of matter - solid, liquid, and gas. We will continue learning about matter next week.

I'll see all the kids online Monday morning!
Enjoy the sunshine this weekend,
