Reminders for Friday, September 24th
- Please remember to bring your Chromebook and charger to school each day!
- 30 minutes of RAZ kids due by Friday, 10/1
- This is 30 minutes between Friday, 9/24 and Friday 10/1, not 30 minutes each day. It will be written in their agendas each day as a reminder.
- Library Books due Thursday, 9/30
- Library books are always due Thursdays. The kids can turn books in any day before that as well. If they do not return their books by Thursday, they will not be allowed to get new books from Mrs. Higgins.
- Thursday is our Library day.
- Communities test on Thursday, 10/7 (social studies)
Notes
- **If you have not already, please consider putting extra masks in your kiddo's backpack. Accidents happen and it's always best when the kids have masks that they are already comfortable wearing.
- Please also be sure that your kiddo's masks fit their faces well!

- Scholastic Book Clubs is active! You can get books shipped to your home instead of school. Our class code is RKQRV. You can view the current catalogs and information HERE.
- September orders are due by 9/24/21.
Morning Meeting/SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) - We learned three strategies for learning how to do new things - try hard, make time for practice, and ask for help.
Reading - We started learning about story elements. This week, we focused on characters and setting. Next week, we'll focus on retelling - beginning, middle, end.
Writing - We fixed sentences and started talking about how to tell if a sentence is complete or incomplete.

Math - We practiced skip counting this week. Next week, we will start working with three-digit numbers.
Science - We finished our scientific method unit and will start our communities unit next week.
