Notes
- **If you have not already, please consider putting extra masks in your kiddo's backpack. Accidents happen and it's always best when the kids have masks that they are already comfortable wearing.
- Please also be sure that your kiddo's masks fit their faces well!

- Scholastic Book Club October orders are due by 10/28/21. Our class code is RKQRV.
Morning Meeting/SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) - We learned about the power of yet and how it can help change our unhelpful thoughts.
Reading - We learned about how to decide how to read a book (tone) and how to ask questions about our reading. Next week, we will focus on how to stop & jot to make sure we can retell a book and identifying the main idea of a story.
Writing - We learned about and practiced using compound words -- butter + fly = butterfly. We started learning about contractions as well -- don't = do + not.

Math - We learned about comparing numbers using < (less than), > (greater than), and = (equal to).
Science - We started learning about habitats - living/non-living, environment, and habitat. We learned about the arctic habitat and will learn about the desert, grasslands, and oceans/ponds as well as adaptations.
