Thank you for your support in helping your student complete their Native American project! We did a share fair via Seesaw on Friday where the kids were able to watch each other's presentations; the link is still available in their Seesaw journal.
We did get to preview the Holiday Shop on Friday so the kiddos have an idea of items they wish to purchase. If your student will be buying items, they can bring money and a list of their items on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week.
We are looking for grown-ups from our class to come share about a holiday or tradition you have! If you're interested, please be prepared to share:
- What the holiday is (which can be from anytime during the year)
- When the holiday is celebrated
- Why it is celebrated
- Your personal family traditions for the holiday (please feel free to share personal family photos or momentos)
You can also have the kiddos do a short activity (listen to a read aloud, make a craft, do a related game). If you have questions or need help with ideas, please feel free to reach out to me! This is a new activity that Mrs. Herchelroath (another second grade teacher) and I are trying out so thank you for your patience as we work out any possible bugs that pop up. To sign up, please check out this Sign Up Genius. Thank you!
