Friday Reminders 1/28/22

Friday, January 28, 2022

We had a fun virtual visit on Thursday from the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation! We reviewed our learning about the Powhatan Tribe and learned a few new facts. We also got to see some artifacts.

We have been having a couple of issues that I would highly appreciate you discussing with your kiddo at home! I did inform the kids that I would be sharing these issues with their grown-ups so they should not be surprised if you bring it up with them We have discussed the following issues in class multiple times:

  1. Moving or writing on items stored in the bathroom
  2. Cleaning the toilet seat off in the bathroom (we have discussed wiping it off with toilet paper or a baby wipe from the cabinet)
  3. Writing on classroom items (mainly our red "privacy" folders that the kids use during quizzes and that I reuse each year)
  4. Keeping the classroom clean (paper towels on the floor rather than in a trash can, pencils on the floor, etc. -- this is actually a class goal right now)

It is the end of Quarter 2! Report cards will be coming out Monday, 2/7. If you have any concerns or wish to have a conference about your child's progress, please feel free to reach out!
