Mystery Reader Program

Who? A Mystery Reader is a special guest who comes to our classroom to read to the students. They can be parents, grandparents, older siblings, or other relatives. Sometimes, mystery readers may even be staff from PNB! Students love to see "their people" at school and get involved in our classroom. It takes just a little time, but leaves a strong, positive impact on the kids.

When? Fridays from 10:35 - 10:55am
Please see the Sign Up Genius for dates! This runs right up to our lunch time so you can surprise your kiddo and the class and then go to lunch with them. 😊

What Do I Need to Do? Once you have signed up, start thinking of a book you would like to bring. If you are not sure, please feel free to email me and we can discuss it. Generally, any book that you would read to your child at home would be a good book to read at school. About a week prior to your visit, I will sent you a reminder and a request for five clues I can read to the kiddos to let them guess who you might be!

IMPORTANT: If you choose to be a Mystery Reader, please try to keep it "top secret"! The kids will use your five clues to guess who you are and surprise your kiddo.

(Please keep in mind that this is new program for me this year and so there will probably be some bugs for us to work out.)
