Google Meet Expectations & Reminders

Friday, April 17, 2020
We will be having live sessions as a class on Tuesdays at 10:00am on Google Meet.

The link will be emailed out around 8:00am on Tuesday mornings.

Expectations:
  • Students will not Join the Google Meet until our scheduled time of 10:00am. I will wait a few minutes before getting started to give everyone time to get in.
  • Students will mute their mic immediately upon entering the Google Meet.
  • Students will not unmute their mic unless asked by Ms. Stiffler.
  • When the Meet ends, students will leave the call. They are not to hang around.
  • Students will be kind in the chat box.
  • Students will not PLAY around the chat box while Ms. Stiffler is teaching.
    • They may post a comment if they have a question related to what is being taught.
    • They may post a comment if asked to by Ms. Stiffler.

Important Reminders:
  • The Meet will be recorded.
    • The recorded video link will be posted to ClassDojo and Seesaw.
    • It is parent responsibility to decide if your child's webcam is on or off.
  • The Meet is not required. Again, a link will be sent out.
  • The Meet is still considered a school environment and student behavior should reflect this.
  • A great extension that we have found is called "Google Meet Grid View". You can find it here.
    • This shows everyone in the call on one screen instead of just one person.
    • You will need to use Google Chrome in order to use it.
    • To use it when logged into the Meet, you will click on the black grid box inside the Meet.
    • Here is an additional guide on how to see everyone on Google Meet.
  • For more information about Google Meet from LCPS, please click HERE. I would highly recommend reading the LCPS guidelines.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me. Please do not use this time to ask questions; the Meet is for the kiddos.
