 autumn leaves fallling

Wow, wow, wow! I know I said the kids were impressive last week, but they really do keep impressing me each day. Our kids have received positive reports from their specialists as well!

Please check your email for information about PALS testing and signing up for a testing time. I know that it is a short turn-around time for this, but it is very important that you sign your child up for a time. PALS is a required assessment for second graders.

A few things to keep in mind going into the weekend:

  • PLEASE practice and explore Seesaw with your child.
    • Click HERE for a few videos about how to log into Seesaw on different devices and what it should look like on your child's account.
    • Login information was sent out Tuesday evening to each parent.
    • There will be GRADED assignments starting Monday, 9/21. See below for those assignments.
      • Please DO NOT help your child with answering graded assignments. You are welcome to help with technology and how to do the activities, but do not answer it for them.
  • Monday's morning session will be short.
    • It is teacher meeting/planning day on Monday. Therefore, we will only be meeting on Monday mornings from 8:15am to about 8:30/8:45am. We will do a morning meeting and possibly a read aloud in that time.
    • Please make sure your child logs onto the Google Meet at 8:15am!
  • There are no specials on A week Mondays so your child will only need to complete their Monday Asynchronous playlist.
  • As per Mr. Thiessen, we are still not doing small groups at this time. Again, you will receive an individual schedule for your child in an email before we start groups.
