Turkey of the Year (10/30 - 11/5)

 Gobble, gobble, gobble!

It's time for Turkey of the Year at Pinebrook, an annual reading incentive tradition at Pinebrook.

The kids earn votes for each HOUR that they read over the course of a week. Then they get to vote for the person that they wish to see be the Turkey of the Year (and wear a Turkey costume). The only real change from previous years is that the kids only get to vote for ONE person per week, rather than split their votes across multiple people. You can find more information about Turkey of the Year HERE.

I've always considered time on RAZ kids or Epic to be counted toward Turkey of the Year. If you know how many hours your child has spent on those programs, feel free to count those as votes!
