Friday Updates 8/25/23

We had a productive first couple of days! The kids learned many new class routines and are settling into Room 13. We made class bracelets to show how we are a class family and that we are a team working together to learn and grow. We labelled their supplies and learned how to turn in completed work. The kids decided what would be expected in our classroom during independent reading. Already, they are great self-advocates and quite independent. We are off to a fantastic start!

A few points:

  • ClassDojo does have a paid subscription. However, you do NOT need to pay to use it. You can access your child's reports and notes, along with the Class Story and my messages, for FREE.
  • The kids can bring a jacket/sweatshirt to keep in their backpack and use in the classroom. It does get a little chilly in here at times.
  • Please make sure your child knows if they have money on their school lunch account for meals/snacks. I cannot access that information.
  • Every day, your child should be bringing their Chromebook, red Home/Puma folder, and agenda to school. They will bring these items home every day as well.
    • Please be sure to check and empty their folder each day. There are two sides - "Return to School" on the left and "Keep at Home" on the right. Most items will be Keep at Home and the kids should know if you ask. 😊
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me or message me on ClassDojo! Thank you!
