Friday Updates 11/10/23

Friday, November 10, 2023

I have noticed a trend with using Epic and Boddle. On Epic, kids are rushing through the books (audiobooks mainly) to level up on Epic and have the highest level. On Boddle, the kids are skipping the problems to be able to battle their classmates rather than working out the problems. I have spoken with them and told them that is the lazy way out and not the point of the programs. They are aware that if it happens next week (and onwards), it will be a red point on Dojo due to being irresponsible.

Just a heads up that the kids will have a substitute on Wednesday, 11/15. I will be out of the building for a training. As usual, I should have access to my email and Dojo but please be sure to contact the front office if you have any immediate concerns (mainly dismissal changes). Thank you!

Week Overview
SEL/Morning Meeting - Family Communication, Home Link
Math - We finished our fact family unit and will be starting our basic subtraction unit. We will practice our subtraction skills all next week.
