Back to School Night and Supplies Pick Up - Grade 2

Hello, families!

I hope you and your family are doing well! It was wonderful to meet so many of you today. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the class tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know about Back to School Night (BTSN) and pick-up information regarding student supplies. This information is also available on the Puma Paw.

Second Grade BTSN is tomorrow, September 1st at 6:00pm. A few minutes prior to the BTSN time, simply click the link or copy paste the link into a browser. Someone will "admit" you into the Meet. Our link for BTSN is https://meet.google.com/efg-sapo-woj.

Second grade pick-up of supplies will be on Thursday, September 3rd:

• 10:30 - 11:15am - Last Names A-L
• 11:15 - 12:00pm - Last Names M-Z

As per Mr. Thiessen, when arriving on campus, please have your child's name and teacher name clearly visible in the windshield or passenger side of your vehicle. Your child will receive a brown bag with the below items. If you ordered a Sprout box or 2019-2020 yearbook, you will also receive those at this time. For Room 20, kids will be receiving a(n):

• Agenda (it will have a sticker with important logins inside the back cover)
• Reference folder (online logins, word wall, important plans)
• Quick Word book (spelling tool)
• Go Math books
• Volume 1
• Volume 2
• orange Virginia Standards of Learning (“Success book”, “SOL book”)
• yellow Science journal
• purple Writing journal
• Whiteboard
• Dry erase marker(s)
• Composition book

Please keep these supplies in a safe place where your child can easily access them for class and activities.

I look forward to starting the first day with the kiddos on Tuesday, September 8th! You will be hearing from me again before then though so please keep an eye out!
