Week Overview
SEL/Morning Meeting - Family Communication (Unit 4)
Math - We learned about picture graphs and bar graphs and how to analyze data from those types of graphs. We will continue this learning next week.
Phonics - We learned about oo /long u/ (broom, moon). New heart words were won and son.
Reading - We practiced putting events from a fictional story into correct order. We started reading about economics and will practice the skill of identifying the main idea of a nonfiction text.
Writing - The kids worked in their odds and evens groups this week. Odds will be with me reviewing plural nouns while evens will be with Mrs. H practicing their sentences. We will do this again next week with evens reviewing about plural nouns and odds practicing sentences.
Science/Social Studies - We reviewed the three states of matter and how the states change - evaporation, melting, freezing, condensation. Next week, we will do a week-long study on patriotic symbols - bald eagle, Statue of Liberty, American flag, Washington Monument.

Have a wonderful weekend,
