- Remember your Chromebook and charger every day!
- Homework packet due Friday, 10/24
- Packet will go home on Tuesday, 10/21
- No School on 10/20 - Diwali
- Even/odd number quiz on 10/23 (math)
- Be able to identify an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 in the ones place) and an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9 in the ones place).
- Animal Life Cycles test on 10/30 (science)
- Your child needs to know how animal life cycles repeat, that animals will change as they grow, and the similarities/differences between animal and plant life cycles.
- Your child should also know the stages in the life cycles of butterflies and white-tailed deer.
- Fall Class Party on Thursday, 10/30
- We will be having our fall class party from 12:45-2:00pm.
- Please consider donating $30 to our class fund.
- If you would like to attend, please let Ms. Stiffler know so she can let the front office know. We like to keep track of who plans to be in the building. Thank you!

- Weekly Reminder
- Return library books by Wednesday each week!
- If you do not return your books, you will not be allowed to pick out new books.
- Wear sneakers on Monday and Friday for P.E.
- If you do not wear sneakers/tennis shoes/trainers or closed-toed shoes (NO boots), you will not be allowed to participate in P.E. This is a rule from the P.E. teachers.
- Ice Cream will be available at lunch next week!
- Ice cream is $2.
- We would prefer that students plan to purchase ice cream on Fridays. Per LCPS, they are allowed to buy it any day of the week. We encourage them to buy ice cream only on Fridays so that they are less likely to make it a competition.
- House Spirit Days are on Fridays.
- Wear your house color on Fridays to show house spirit.
- Parents can join at lunchtime on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
- Please be sure to bring your ID card to get in the front door.
- Please make sure to stay at our table.

Reading - We reviewed making inferences and focused on central idea.
Writing - We reviewed plural nouns and started writing about places that we have been.

Math - We practiced our skip counting skills from 2s, 5s, 10s, and 25s and backwards by 10s. Next week, we will focus on even/odd numbers.
Science - We continued learning about plant life cycles. We finished this unit and will start our animal life cycles unit next week.
Handwriting - We practiced writing manuscript.
